MB is an in-can preservative for water-based coatings, controlling bacteria, yeasts and molds during manufacture and storage.
Description
MB is a clear, colorless-to-brown liquid miscible with water and low-molecular-weight alcohols. It is compatible with most aqueous ingredients and provides in-can preservation against bacteria, yeasts and molds in water-based coatings.
Directions for Use
The usual use concentration is 0.2%–0.4%. Determine the actual dosage experimentally, considering the formulation’s susceptibility to microbial degradation, contamination, pH, temperature and required protection period.
Packaging and Storage
Available in 25 kg and 200 kg plastic drums. Keep sealed in the original container and avoid extreme storage temperatures. Shelf life is 12 months when stored at approximately 20°C.
