Defoamer for High-Viscosity and High-Build Coatings
Persistent Silicone Defoamer for Acidic and Alkaline Waterborne Systems
DF-1572 is a persistent silicone emulsion defoamer for acidic and alkaline waterborne systems, for coating and adhesive formulation trials.
DF-1572 is a water-based silicone emulsion defoamer with persistent foam-control performance under acidic and alkaline conditions. It can be evaluated in waterborne coating and adhesive formulations where long-lasting foam suppression, water dispersion and shear resistance are required. Confirm dosage and addition stage in the target formulation.
Persistent foam control at low use levels; good foam suppression reported in strongly acidic and strongly alkaline systems; good dispersion in water with no visible spots or agglomerates reported in the source; acid resistance, alkali resistance and shear resistance.
Evaluate DF-1572 in waterborne architectural, industrial and protective coatings, and in waterborne adhesives, where persistent foam develops during dispersion, let-down, mixing or application. This positioning is based on the supplied product properties. Confirm compatibility with the binder, surfactant package, pigments and other additives, as well as surface appearance, recoat behavior and adhesion, before commercial use. Review the waterborne coating formulation application and adhesive formulation application pages.
Add as supplied and mix evenly, or pre-dilute before use. For pre-dilution, slowly add softened or deionized water to DF-1572, stir moderately, avoid high shear and use the diluted liquid within 24 hours. The supplied source does not provide a validated coating or adhesive dosage; establish the minimum effective level through formulation trials.
Available in 25 kg and 200 kg plastic drums or IBC containers. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse away from fire and heat, protect from freezing and maintain 10-35 degrees C where possible. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use. Shelf life is 12 months; recheck performance before use after the stated shelf life.
