Xytu® BT142 Water Repellent for Rock Wool

Description

Blend BT142 with phenolic resin to improve water repellency in rock wool or glass fiber products that use the resin as a binder. BT142 mixes well with most phenolic resin solutions. It can also treat expanded perlite, expanded vermiculite and ceramic aggregate.

Directions for Use

For spraying, dilute with water at any ratio. Use promptly after dilution and do not store the diluted product for extended periods. The recommended dosages below are based on the dry weight of the finished product.

Material	Recommended dosage
Rock wool	0.15%–0.6%
Glass wool	0.25%–0.7%
Expanded perlite	0.35%–1.1%
Lightweight aggregates such as ceramic aggregate	0.25%–0.5%

Run trials with the raw materials you intend to use and adjust the dosage to meet the required water repellency.

Packaging and Storage

Available in 200 kg drums or IBCs. Custom packaging is available on request. Store in the original packaging at 2–30 °C. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
