Water Repellent for Rock Wool
BT538 is a water repellent for rock wool and glass wool production. Dilute it with water for spraying or blend it into phenolic resin.
Description
Add BT538 during rock wool or glass wool production to impart water repellency. It is compatible with phenolic resin. Choose direct substrate treatment or resin addition to suit the production process.
Directions for Use
- Spraying or other substrate treatment: Dilute with water at any ratio. Choose the dilution ratio for the required water repellency. Use 0.2%–2.0% based on the total mass of the substrate being treated.
- Blending into phenolic resin: Blend BT538 into the resin at a recommended dosage of 0.5%–1.0% based on the phenolic resin mass.
Packaging and Storage
Available in 50 kg or 200 kg packs. Store at 5–30 °C. Shelf life is six months.
