Xytu® XY-510

This pale-yellow fine powder forms ribbon-like helical copolymer assemblies and a weak gel-like network in water. The network supports solid particles, droplets and bubbles, providing emulsion stabilization and suspension capacity. It exhibits high pseudoplasticity across a broad range of shear rates and concentrations, together with good thermal stability.

In coatings, it provides thickening and suspension stabilization to help maintain the dispersed system. It is soluble and stable under acidic and alkaline conditions and compatible with most metal salts.

Directions for Use

The source lists 0.05-0.3% without a calculation basis or application-specific dosage. Confirm the basis and suitability for the intended coating formulation. Guidance for another application must not be treated as a validated coating dosage.

Packaging and Storage

Packaging size is 25 kg. Shelf life is 2 years under dry conditions at ambient temperature.

Test Conditions and Selection

The viscosity value lacks sample concentration, preparation/hydration procedure, temperature, instrument, spindle and speed. The mass-loss test method is also unspecified. Confirm these before comparing measurements or setting acceptance limits.
