Defoamer for High-Viscosity and High-Build Coatings
Modified Polyether Defoamer for Microfoam Control
DF2410 is a modified polyether defoamer designed to help control microfoam in coating formulations, including spray-applied films.
DF2410 combines defoaming with a wetting effect. It provides good foam suppression and foam breaking in low-PVC systems, controlling microfoam in films applied by airless or air spraying while maintaining film appearance and gloss. It can be used in inorganic coatings, water-based wood coatings and water-based industrial coatings.
Recommended addition level: 0.1%–0.5% by weight of the total coating formulation.
Add directly to paint as supplied. Split the intended total defoamer addition into two portions: 50% during grinding and the remaining 50% during let-down, before adding the emulsion. Stir or shake thoroughly before use.
Packed in 25 kg/180 kg plastic drums. Shelf life is 12 months from production when stored in unopened original containers at -5°C to +40°C.
